"The sale of the year...an event not to miss..., attended by groups of art lovers - make that fanatics..." - SF Chronicle

We're gearing up for BIG DEAL, our much-anticipated exhibition/art sale benefiting artists living with life-threatening illnesses such as Breast Cancer and HIV/AIDS. You're invited to participate by donating your art to BIG DEAL, which will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at SOMArts Gallery at 934 Brannan Street, SF.

BIG DEAL is THE MOTHER OF ALL ART SALES, a wildly popular, cult classic event featuring 700 works of art offered on a first-come, first-served basis at a fixed price of $160. BIG DEAL is especially exciting as it features contemporary artwork at a reasonable price. Each year 500+ enthusiastic art collectors, buyers, artists and friends show up hours before the event--queuing up outside of Somarts to ensure an early space in line! Of course, donating artists receive free admission.

Your donation is needed to making this event a success. Proceeds allow Visual Aid artists to produce and exhibit important works of art, with the help of our organization's resources. By providing free art supplies, exciting exhibition opportunities, and career services, Visual Aid encourages artists living with life-threatening illnesses to continue their creative work.

Please support our efforts by making a donation of one or more of your artworks to BIG DEAL! Invite your friends to participate! Email us today with your name, address, phone number, and email address to let us know that you plan to make a contribution. If you LET US KNOW BY 9/19 that you will donate, your name will appear on our big, beautiful Big Deal poster, designed by artist Jim Winters.
